Travis Kelce on Why He ‘Had All the FOMO in the World’ Missing Taylor Swift’s Miami Eras Tour Shows
“The show is absolutely electric. It’s the greatest show that’s ever been onstage,” he said.
Travis Kelce couldn’t attend any of Taylor Swift’s Miami Eras Tour shows last weekend because he had a Kansas City Chiefs game that Sunday. He felt extreme regret over it, he revealed on New Heights today to his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce. Jason had attended Swift’s Friday concert with his family.
“I had all the FOMO in the world with the entire family and a lot of our friends being there,” Travis said. “I had a bunch of friends who were also down by the stage that had been to a few shows overseas, and they were saying the same thing that you’re saying, that Miami stadium was just on another level. And man, I wish I was there. I wish I was there.”

Travis teased his brother for the photo that came out of Jason seemingly sleeping. The Chiefs tight end offered high praise of his girlfriend while doing it, saying, “The show is absolutely electric. It’s the greatest show that’s ever been onstage, and you’re over here, falling asleep?”
Jason denied he was actually napping. He explained that he sat down, and “I’m just feeling it. I’m tapping my thigh, and I’m just in the moment listening to the song. And then all of a sudden, I go on Twitter, and I see this fucking picture, and I’m like, ‘Dude, what the fuck? Like, I’m not even sleeping and I can prove it to you.’” He added, “The mist of the rain had just started to get into my face…and I’m just sitting here, and I’m in the moment.”
The brothers agreed that the energy at Swift’s Miami shows was extraordinary. Travis offered a little message to his partner as he ended their discussion of her Miami concerts: “Shout-out to Tay Tay for powering through a few rain shows there.”

On Instagram yesterday, Swift reflected on her experience in Miami. She wrote, “The Eras Tour is BACK and the 3 Miami crowds we just got to play for were on a new level. With only 5 cities left to play before it’s over, I knew I was going to be savoring every moment up on that stage but the bewildering passion of those crowds really blew my mind. It rained (a lot) the 1st and 3rd nights, and so that kicked up the cinematic drama. I had really missed this on our break. The mass quantities of joyful people genuinely living in the moment and seeming truly carefree for 3.5 hours. My mystifyingly talented friend @florence came to Miami and each night we performed “Florida!!!” in Florida!!! I got some new outfits, and it’s always nice when the crowd notices that 😁 You guys are just the best. Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who followed along online. 4 more cities left and the next one up is: New Orleans!”
Swift will begin her three New Orleans shows this Friday. For ELLE’s guide on how to get tickets, see here.
