The reason Kate gave up on trying to reconcile Harry and William
After a grueling battle with cancer, Kate reportedly didn’t want to think about reconciling the relationship between William and Harry.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Christopher Andersen, author of The King, discusses the relationship between the Princess of Wales and the Sussexes. According to Andersen, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer a concern for Kate. The author of the book about King Charles III said: “It’s to think that Kate still has the time and energy to continue playing the role of the mediator. She has tried for years and finally raised her hand to surrender. She did her part, but it wasn’t enough to build a bridge between William, Charles and Harry.”
Meanwhile, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said that Kate was “completely on her husband’s side” and had put aside the rift between the brothers. Fitzwilliams told Fox News: “When painting a negative picture of the royal family in his memoir Spare, Harry even portrayed Kate as cold, unwelcoming to his wife, Meghan Markle.”
Therefore, instead of focusing time on the brothers, Kate will prioritize health, returning to royal duties. “Recently, we have seen positive signs of Catherine’s recovery. As she said, her focus is to no longer have cancer. The Welsh family has experienced an extremely difficult year. She has completed prophylactic chemotherapy. At the moment, Catherine wants to avoid people and things that bring negative energy,” the royal expert further explained.
After giving up his role as a member of the royal family and leaving the UK in early 2020, Harry’s relationship with his family has always been strained. The 40-year-old prince has repeatedly “exposed his shirt to the viewers”, revealing that his relationship with his brother and father has been on television, documentaries, and memoirs.
However, when they heard that Kate had cancer, Harry and Meghan reportedly tried to contact their sister-in-law many times. The fact that they did not receive Kate’s reply did not discourage them. A source close to the Sussexes said Meghan was “ready to overcome past trauma and wants to find a way to heal for the good of everyone”.
