Princess Kate and Prince William Share a Touching Family Portrait for Their 2024 Christmas Card
The photo captures a sweet moment between the couple and kids George, Charlotte, and Louis
The Wales family’s 2024 Christmas card has arrived!
Prince William and Princess Kate shared their annual holiday card today on social media. The card features a sweet family portrait of the couple with their three kids: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
The photo, which seems to have been taken from a family video that was shared earlier this year, shows the Waleses sitting outdoors with their arms wrapped around one another. They coordinated in blue-and-white outfits, with Kate in a white dress with a blue pattern and William in a blue button-down. As for the kids, George and Louis matched in cornflower-blue shirts, while Charlotte wore a white blouse with a blue patterned skirt.
“Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year,” the card reads.

The card caps off a particularly turbulent year for the family. In March, Kate announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer, which was identified following an abdominal surgery she underwent in January. She subsequently spent much of 2024 away from the public spotlight, making only a few official appearances, at events like Trooping the Colour and Wimbledon. In September, Kate revealed that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment and is now considered cancer free.
“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” Kate said in a video shared to social media at the time. “I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.”
On December 6, Kate briefly returned to work to host her fourth-annual “Together at Christmas” carol service at Westminster Abbey. William, George, Charlotte, and Louis supported Kate at the event, and other royals like Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall also attended.
