LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Prince William has recently generated buzz among royal watchers with a sneak peek of a “very special” project for the Earthshot Prize, all while flaunting his trendy new beard, which has garnered enthusiastic approval from fans.

On Friday, the 42-year-old Prince of Wales took to Instagram to share two behind-the-scenes photographs of himself filming in the woods on a rainy day, which quickly sparked excitement online, the Daily Mail reported.

In the photographs, Prince William confidently sported a navy jacket layered over a green jumper and blue shirt, holding an umbrella while recording a video for the upcoming initiative. The pictures, posted on the official Earthshot Prize Instagram account, were captioned, “Filming for a very special @earthshotprize project earlier today. Watch this space.”

This post comes hot on the heels of the announcement of the 15 finalists for the Earthshot Prize, William’s prestigious environmental award, founded by the Prince of Wales in 2010.

Competing for a share of £5 million in prize money, these finalists were selected from nearly 2,500 nominations across 139 countries, each proposing innovative solutions to tackle the world’s most pressing climate and environmental challenges.

Prince William has set the social media on fire after sharing a sneak peek of a “very special” Earthshot Prize project on Instagram. While the project itself has sparked excitement, the Prince of Wales’ newly grown beard truly stole the spotlight, with fans taking to the comments section of the post to voice their admiration.

One fan enthusiastically asked, “Who else absolutely loves the beard on Prince William? He looks smashing!” Another wrote, “The beard was surprising at first, but I actually quite like it now. So distinguished!”
