Meghan Markle beams as she and Prince Harry attend Tyler Perry’s star-studded birthday bash with Oprah and best friend Gayle King
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were all smiles as they attended longtime friend Tyler Perry’s star-studded birthday bash on Saturday evening.
The couple were spotted leaving a $31 million Montecito mansion where they celebrated the filmmaker’s 55th birthday alongside a slew of other famous faces.
They appeared to be in great spirits, with Meghan, 43, grinning and giggling next to her husband, 40, in the backseat of a black Range Rover.
While Meghan’s outfit wasn’t visible through the car window, Harry was seen in a gray suit.
Meghan appeared to be wearing her diamond engagement ring and her wedding band, and she kept her long brown locks pulled back into a ponytail.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent hours partying with their close pal Tyler, who famously let the pair stay in his Santa Barbara home when they first moved to America, as well as acclaimed talk show hosts Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King, singer Alicia Keys, and actor Aaron O’Connell.
A worker from a nearby lighting company seemingly hired to help decorate for the party said as he was leaving that there was ‘a lot of music, dancing, and singing.’
‘Lots of speeches and food too. Everyone was having a lot of fun. It was a good party. There were a lot of famous people but I cannot say any more,’ he dished.
It was also said that a ‘male person who sounded like Harry was heard making a speech’ during the celebration.
Harry and Meghan arrived about 7pm and stayed for roughly four hours before leaving a little after 11pm.
They were driven by a professional driver and accompanied by a security detail, as well as an unknown friend.
The party, which was held inside a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom 8,379-square-foot abode in Montecito, occurred one day after Tyler’s 55th birthday, and one day before the Duke of Sussex’s 40th birthday.
Back in 2020, after Harry and Meghan announced that they were saying goodbye to their royal duties and relocating to California, the couple, along with their then-one-year-old son, Archie, spent a few months living in Tyler’s Beverly Hills mansion.
During an interview with The Cut in 2022, Meghan, spoke out about her bond with Tyler, explaining that he got in touch with her after she first wed Harry in 2018.
She added that he sent her a ‘note’ in which he said he ‘understood’ the intense pressure she was under, and encouraged her to reach out if she ever needed help.
She soon began to open up to him about her struggles and the two grew close, despite them never even meeting in person.
‘Sometimes, you can tell your life story to a stranger on a plane as opposed to some of the people that are closest to you,’ she told The Cut.
According to the outlet, Tyler offering his home to the pair ‘became, in many ways, the reason that Meghan and Harry started their new life in Southern California.’
Hours before they attended Tyler’s party, Meghan was spotted at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament in Los Angeles, where she wore over $40,000 worth of clothes and jewelry.
She donned a tailored, sleeveless halter-neck Edda dress from luxury Italian brand Giuliva Heritage, priced at $1,400.
The mother-of-two paired the dress with her $950 brown satchel handbag from Caroline Herrera and a pair of matching $800 heels from one of her favorite brands, Aquazzura.
She accessorized the look with a pair of classic $100 Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses and her staple jewelry pieces, including her $28,200 Cartier gold tank Française watch and a $9,300 ‘Love’ yellow gold bracelet from the same brand.
