Jon Bon Jovi and Pitbull Pump Up the Latin Grammys With ‘Now or Never’ Performance
Jon Bon Jovi and Pitbull joined forces at the Latin Grammys on Thursday to perform their new remixed version of Bon Jovi’s classic “It’s My Life” titled “Now Or Never.”
The two came onto a red lit stage dressed in black. The remix begins with the original song’s well-known chord before lending a verse to Pitbull, running back to the original progression keeping the chorus intact. The song mixes in a lower beat while keeping to its rock roots. The new verse by Mr. Worldwide consists of strongly delivered catchy lines like “Just live your life like Frank Sinatra, your way, and have no fear.”
This is not the first time the odd-partners perform their latest collaboration live. In September during Pitbull’s Party After Dark tour, Bon Jovi joined Pitbull at the Jones Beach Theater stage in New York and together they sang “It’s My Life” to a totally shocked audience.
The rock band’s leading man and the Cuban-American rapper became friends after meeting in 2017 at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction and awards ceremony. Since then, they have made a couple of appearances together in addition to Pitbull’s New York tour pit stop. Last April, they performed a duet of “Thank God & Jimmy Buffett” during the “Keep The Party Going: A Tribute To Jimmy Buffett” at the Hollywood Bowl.
The Miami-native returned to his usual 305 area code for the Latin Grammys, but is soon returning Las Vegas for his 2024-2025 Vegas After Dark The Residency at the Fontainebleau. The song is now available to stream on all platforms.
