Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics run past Hornets in win on the road

The Boston Celtics paid a visit to Buzz City on Friday to take on the Charlotte Hornets looking to bounce back. The Cs took their first loss of the season on Wednesday in Indiana and needed to get back in the win column.

The Celtics broke open a close game in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Hornets 32-21 on their way to a 124-109 win on the road. Boston had trouble containing Hornets star LaMelo Ball, but buckled down late when it had to.

Jayson Tatum led Boston with 34 points and 11 rebounds in another strong effort while Jaylen Brown added 25 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Derrick White added 17 while Jrue Holiday had 14 points to chip in.

Neemias Queta had a big night off the bench as well with 12 points and six rebounds in a solid effort for Boston overall.

Tatum and Brown combined to shoot just 3-for-15 from deep, but they were able to find other ways to score and turn in a solid defensive effort. Boston is now 5-1 on the season and will face the Hornets again on Saturday.
