Inside Patrick Mahomes’ and fiancée Brittany Matthews’ $1.8M house
For Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, this Kansas City ranch house is “Ma-home.”
The 25-year-old, who is leading the Chiefs to Super Bowl 2021 this weekend, lives in a $1.8 million house in Kansas City, Missouri, on the border of Kansas.
The three-bedroom, 2½-bath house is relatively modest, at only 4,343 square feet on a 1.4-acre lot.
The NFL player’s house incorporates modern block architecture into a typical clapboard-siding ranch house.
An inside house tour reveals hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows, which create an airy aesthetic.
Stone fireplaces are featured in the family room, living room and the owner’s bedroom, the latter measuring 1,250 square feet with a walk-in closet and a gym. There is a 500-bottle wine room, a chef’s kitchen and a wet bar, according to Zillow.
Patrick Mahomes, who led the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory last year, bought the house for somewhere near $2 million in February 2019.
Outside, the home has a screened porch, a patio, a pool, a new hot tub, a rose garden and terraced, landscaped grounds, according to the listing.
Built in 1953, this house has had about a half-million dollars in updates, according to property records, although the dates of renovations are not available.

Nestled behind Mission Hills and Kansas City country clubs and the Carriage Club — as well as several historical houses and museums — the residential neighborhood is a 20-minute drive from Arrowhead Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs play and practice.

He lives there with his longtime girlfriend and now-fiancée, Brittany Matthews, a 25-year-old personal trainer. Mahomes proposed to Matthews in September at Arrowhead Stadium. He can afford the six-figure ring he bought his new fiancée — he scored a record-breaking 10-year deal worth $503 million with the team this summer.
The couple announced they’re expecting — it’s a girl — in September. Mahomes and Matthews have been together for eight years, starting in high school. They have two dogs, Silver and Steel — one is a pit bull and the other is a cane corso.
Even with an enviable NFL contract, Mahomes hasn’t shown signs of shopping for a new house. The Kansas City ranch is not for sale.
The couple has always been frugal. Before purchasing the house — which isn’t technically large enough to be considered a mansion — Mahomes and Matthews lived with Matthews’ father to save money.
Kevin Bryant of ReeceNichols Brookside brokerage had the listing in 2019. He did not respond to a request for comment.
