A video of Sean “Diddy” Combs inviting child actress Daveigh Chase to a party has resurfaced and gone viral.

The clip shows the disgraced music mogul, then 33, talking to the Ring star, then 12, backstage at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards. He asks Daveigh, “Are you coming to the party later tonight?” while walking up to her and holding a drink to his mouth, as seen in the video shared by Hollywood Unlocked on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The young actress then nods, prompting Diddy to laugh and shout, “Yeah!”

The exchange came shortly after Diddy, now 54, and Ashton Kutcher presented Daveigh, now 34, with the Best Villain award for her role as Samara Morgan in the 2002 horror film The Ring.

Ashton, then 25, was also backstage when the rapper invited Daveigh, but he simply laughed off the comment. The That ’70s Show actor, now 46, came under fire last month for a reposted clip in which he hinted that he knew about some of the dark stuff that went down at Diddy’s infamous Hollywood parties.

“Diddy really kept his private life out of everyone’s eyes,” one Instagram user commented on the footage of the Bad Boy Records founder inviting Daveigh to a party.

“The laughter makes everything 10,000 times worse,” another wrote, while a third user agreed, “It was the evil laughter that made me miserable‼️”

“Imagine your 13-year-old daughter being ‘played’ by an older man when he asked her about attending a party afterwards. Let me know if you still find it funny,” another reviewer commented.

A Diddy spokesperson told Page Six about the clip, “It’s disappointing to see the media and social media commentators twist an incident into something that is not true.”

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies any wrongdoing. He is being held without bail at the Metropolitan Federal Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, pending trial. A judge ruled on October 10 that his trial will begin on May 5, 2025.

Following his arrest, 120 alleged victims, all represented by a Houston-based law firm, have come forward with claims. Twenty-five of the accusers were minors at the time of the alleged crimes. One person claimed he was 9 years old when Diddy allegedly molested him.

In addition, in a complaint filed this week, Diddy allegedly molested an unnamed 13-year-old girl at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty with the help of two unnamed adult celebrities, one male and one female, according to records obtained by Deadline.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch on Monday, Oct. 21, the rapper and his attorneys have requested a “prohibition” on further claims and statements from potential witnesses to ensure a “fair trial.”

“Some of these attorneys have made false and shocking allegations about details that do not need to be repeated,” the documents read. “Each day brings a new wave of publicity, often at the direction of the accusers and their attorneys, further undermining Mr. Combs’s right to a fair trial. Therefore, we respectfully request that any response be filed by October 30, 2024.”
