Throughout their decades together, Bon Jovi has collected plenty of No. 1s on the charts. The band has reached the top of a number of lists, with both albums and songs. On some rankings, they’ve returned to the summit time and time again, though these days, they’re not racking up rulers like they used to.
Bon Jovi collects another No. 1 on a Billboard chart this week in America. The rockers score their first champion on a list that they had never reached until very recently, and now they’ve topped the tally.
The beloved New Jersey musicians leap to No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart this time around. The group shoot to the summit with “Now or Never,” Pitbull’s new smash that features the band and one of their most famous tracks.
“Now or Never” credits Bon Jovi largely because the song makes use of their single “It’s My Life,” which remains one of their most popular releases. That track, which is now more than 20 years old, supplies the chorus of the new upbeat, dance-pop tune, and it’s worked well enough to entice a large audience to purchase the cut.
Bon Jovi scores their first career No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart this week. “Now or Never” brings them to the top 10—to the tally in general—for the first time, as the band isn’t really known for their dance or electronic output.
Pitbull has found much greater success on the same ranking, though he’s also been at it for many years. The rapper snags his third ruler on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales ranking, as he’s previously topped the tally with both “Feel This Moment” alongside Christina Aguilera and “On the Floor” with his frequent collaborator Jennifer Lopez.
“Now or Never” debuted on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart last week at No. 13. In its second turn on the list, it rockets to the throne, selling more than 1,500 copies, according to Luminate. That number is up more than 370% from the frame prior.
