We have news about the Montreal Canadiens’ young forward, Ivan Demidov.
While Habs fans are eagerly awaiting his arrival in North America, and everyone hopes there are no unforeseen obstacles, here’s a major positive development reported by the excellent Sergey Demidov.
“Ivan Demidov is officially set to join the Montreal Canadiens next season, and his teammates believe he’s ready.
See what former NHL players like Kuznetsov and DeAngelo have to say about Demidov’s growth this season.” – RG
The term “set to join” confirms here that young Demidov will be joining the Montreal Canadiens as early as next fall, and we couldn’t be more excited.
It’s truly great to finally have a date.
Ivan Demidov is ready for the NHL
As we can see in RG’s article, the young Habs prospect’s teammates are unanimous in their praise.
“Honestly, we haven’t had players like him in our league for a long time. He knows how to beat you, and his one-on-one play is exceptional. But what’s truly special is his willingness to work and learn.”
– Sergei Andronov
Wow, that’s music to our ears. And there’s more:
“He’s a very stable player psychologically,” noted Mikhail Grigorenko.
“Criticism doesn’t affect him; he always perceives it correctly.
Sometimes he plays less, sometimes more-it’s inevitable.
His reaction is always the same: more training and hard work.”
All of this is incredibly exciting for what’s to come.
At just 18 years old, Demidov has amassed 20 points in 31 games this season in the KHL, which is absolutely incredible and historic, considering he’s playing only about 6-7 minutes per game in one of the top three hockey leagues in the world.
