“No Pressure Brother”: Lainey Wilson Admits She “Might Need to Propose” to Duck Hodges

Outside of her dominance of country music, Lainey Wilson explored a life of love when she announced her relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges. Although announcing the relationship in 2023, the country singer admitted they dated for a few years before going public. Continuing to share their love for each other, 2024 marked a big year for Wilson. She released her album Whirlwind and even opened her Bell Bottoms Up bar and Cajun restaurant. With the year coming to an end, Wilson seemed ready to cross off another milestone when it came to Hodges.

Closing out the year with one last performance at New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, Wilson got the chance to rub shoulders with the wife of Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo. Helming her own podcast, Bunnie Xo has become a professional when it comes to having a conversation and asking the right questions.

Wanting to know about her favorite moments of 2024, Wilson pointed to her career, “I think it was getting inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. I feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be. Just so many things to celebrate. So if 2025 is anything like 2024, it’s gonna be another hell of a ride.”

Lainey Wilson Explores Love In “4X4XU”

Promising to not slow down in 2025, Bunnie Xo also wanted to know about her ongoing love with Hodges. Although to two have dated for some time, the discussion about marriage seemed a secret. And according to Wilson, she might have to propose to him. “No pressure, brother. No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waiting.”

While no date has been set, Wilson showcased her thoughts on love when she released the hit song “4X4XU.” One of her first love songs, the music video gained praise from fans as the video explored themes of love. “I’m not a country music fan but she has made me see the light. What a voice!” Another person insisted, “Love your new album Whirlwind, but 4x4xU may be the absolute best single on the whole damn album! Keep doing you girl! So freaking good! Sending love from SC!”
