“Heart Like A Truck” Singer Gives Rare Look Inside Relationship With Boyfriend

Lainey Wilson’s longtime boyfriend, Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges, will likely be in the audience to cheer her on. The couple are intensely private about their relationship. In fact, they were dating for two years before appearing in public together.

Their romance started when they met through mutual friends in 2021, while Hodges was still playing in the NFL. Despite their whirlwind romance, the couple has chosen to keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight, giving fans only rare glimpses into their life together.

Lainey Wilson took to her Instagram earlier this week to share an unexpected look at her relationship and she used her own music to do it. The short video clip shows the country singer and former NFL player in a 4X4 ATV. The cute couple wore matching hats. The uneven terrain made the footage bumpy, but Lainey and her boyfriend seemed to enjoy the ride.

She added a sound clip from her new single, “4x4xU,” on the video. The lyrics “Ain’t nowhere I’d rather be / than in a 4×4 by you, babe,” her voice crooned over the footage. “N.Y.C. to L.A. / city to the country / from here to Kalamazoo” played over the video.

Lainey Wilson tagged her boyfriend and added the sweet caption, “Ain’t nowhere I’d rather be.” He joked in the comment section, “Heard that guy is ready for duck season.

The singer’s fans swooned over the quick glimpse into her love life. Watch the sweet video below.
