They told Bella magazine: “Ruth doesn’t want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits.

“She wants a clean slate and has even told friends she might change the locks.”

The Sun has contacted Ruth’s representative for comment.

The Loose Women star was revealed to have split from Eamonn, 64 ealier this year.

She has not spoken out after returning to the ITV show earlier this month following a break.

It is understood that Ruth decided to split from Eamonn after being left devastated when she found messages to another woman on his computer.

The broadcasting veteran has since been spotted out and about with Katie Alexander, 42.

Ruth hinted she has been keeping up to date on reports after sharing a picture of The Sun on her coffee table, that featured a front cover interview with Katie’s ex George Alexander.

He confessed he had “a lot of sympathy” for Ruth amid her marriage breakdown.

George, 53, who was married to Katie from 2010 to 2022, said: “I have a lot of sympathy for Ruth.

“I have had my heart broken when my marriage to Katie ended.

“It took me a couple of years to recover. I know how distraught Ruth must be feeling. She’s going through what I did after our marriage ended.”

And he added: “Katie has a heart so will feel bad about Ruth.”

Businessman George said Katie and Eamonn first made contact as friends on social media while they were still married.

He went on: “She was not swooning over him like he was George Clooney.

“But she liked being on social media and one day she said she’d had a reply from him.”

There is no suggestion from George that Katie’s contact with Eamonn led to the breakdown of their marriage, and he accepts they parted amicably.

In June, The Sun on Sunday reveled Loose Women host Ruth confided to close friends that there was “no way back” for their 14-year marriage.

The following month Ruth made her return to Loose Women after taking time off from the show in the wake of her marriage split.

Rumors have been swirling around the split between Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, with friends claiming that Ruth has issued Eamonn a “final warning” after he moved out of their Surrey home.

It seems that Ruth is eager to move on and cut ties with her ex-husband, especially after finding messages to another woman on his computer.
.

According to sources, Ruth is even considering changing the locks on their home to ensure that Eamonn can’t just come and go as he pleases.

She wants a fresh start and seems determined to distance herself from the past. Since news of their separation broke, Ruth has stayed relatively quiet, returning to her hosting duties on Loose Women without addressing the situation publicly.

However, it seems that she may be keeping up with the reports, as she shared a picture of a newspaper featuring an interview with Katie Alexander, the woman Eamonn has been spotted with recently.

Katie’s ex-husband, George Alexander, has expressed sympathy for Ruth, having gone through his own marriage breakdown with Katie.

He shared that Katie and Eamonn first connected on social media while they were still married, but there is no implication that their friendship led to the end of George and Katie’s marriage.

Close friends of Ruth have revealed that she confided in them that there was “no way back” for her and Eamonn after 14 years of marriage.

Despite the challenges, Ruth has returned to her work on Loose Women, showing resilience and strength during this difficult time.

It’s clear that Ruth is focused on moving forward and creating a new chapter in her life, separate from her past with Eamonn.

As she navigates this transition, she is leaning on her support system and staying true to herself.
