Over the years, the media has played a vital role in hyping up the league and the players. They have been instrumental in promoting a player who has been doing well in the league. On the contrary, the media is also not afraid to criticize a player’s poor form and get their hands dirty. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo has had enough of the NBA media.

Unfortunately, in recent times, the transparency of the media seems to have been missing. The NBA athletes often experience the extremes of modern-day media coverage. And this is where Giannis Antetokounmpo takes issue. He cannot stand the fact that the media is hyping a player one day, and just after one bad performance, the player is being criticized.
“We beat the team, like today ‘Vegas baby the Bucks’… And the day you lose, ‘They suck… Trade Giannis… He has blood [on] his hands. Nobody wants him’… Guys, yesterday I was the best player in the world,” said the Milwaukee Bucks star.
Antetokounmpo lashing at the NBA media on the ‘Thanalysis Show’ holds a significance. After the Bucks’ rocky start to the season, First Take’s Perkins criticized the 30-year-old for Milwaukee’a dismal performance. He also pointed fingers at the 2x NBA MVP for the firing of earlier coaches. Meanwhile, amidst all the chaos, the possibility of the NBA icon leaving the Bucks is doing the rounds. And his manager has recently spilled the beans on the same.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Manager Shares Potential Future Plans
Before the start of the season, the expectations from the Milwaukee Bucks were sky high. And the one man everybody was banking upon was Giannis Antetokounmpo. Now, despite the 30-year-old having quite a decent season, the Bucks are going through a forgettable phase. Thus, the chances of Antetokounmpo switching jerseys is becoming a center of huge interest.
Recently, his manager, Giorgos Panou, caught up with Amerikanos24’s Achilleas Mavrodontis. “The end [of the season] will tell. He obviously considers it his home. That’s not up for debate. He has proved it,” Panou shed light on the burning issue. Thus, with things becoming quite complicated, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
