In a 2011 interview, Taylor Swift once shared that Diddy was one of her dream co-stars. 

Recently, a fan posted an old clip on TikTok this week regarding Taylor Swift talking about Diddy.

Diddy was indicted on charges including sex trafficking in September, months after a video of him brutally attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura went viral.

In the 2011 clip, Swift appeared on Rachael Ray, where several pictures of “music icons” were spread out in front of her and she had to choose one of them to answer questions like: “Whose wardrobe on this table would you most like to borrow?”

When asked which stars she would take to prom, Swift picked a “group” of people – including Diddy, who she said has “always been so nice to me”.

In the celebrity quiz called ‘Quick Decision’, Ray asked: ‘Who would you take to prom?’ and Swift replied: ‘It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group.’ She then gathered pictures of Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Sheryl Crow, Justin Timberlake and Diddy and proudly held them up.

While Swift was choosing her photos, before she chose Diddy – Ray joked that the Teenage Dream singer was “going to a weird prom”. As Swift held up all the photos, Ray exclaimed: ‘No way! Look! It’s a group! Now, why, why is there such a spectacular group of people?’

Swift responded by complimenting each of her choices, and when it was Diddy’s turn, she said: ‘Diddy’s always been really nice to me.’ ‘He’s a gentleman, right? He’s a lovely gentleman,’ Ray said, and Swift added: ‘He would be so happy to be on the prom team.’

The clip sparked a backlash shortly after it was shared again, with viewers commenting that the footage was “not as good anymore”. ‘Oopsie,’ one TikTok user wrote, while another wrote: ‘As millennials we admire these people. We have no idea what’s really going on. This is like Fearless/Speak Now Taylor. She’s only 19-21 here.’

‘This is proof that she only knows Diddy superficially,’ another commenter wrote.

One person theorized: “Diddy was always so nice to me ‘she’s trying to save herself’,” while another commented: “We were so naive back then ,” along with a tearful emoji.

Diddy was arrested last month on federal charges of extortion, conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He is awaiting trial at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, a prison that previously held Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and R Kelly.
