Clip of ‘Miserable’ Travis Kelce Goes Viral as Taylor Swift Skips Game

Kelce was all by himself in Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The Kansas City Chiefs withstood a late rally from the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday to win and move to 3-0, but tight end Travis Kelce didn’t seem to be having a great time.

Kelce was on his own in the September 22 win as girlfriend Taylor Swift missed her first game of the season. Swift has become a fixture at Chiefs games since the two started dating last season, with her entrances to the stadium garnering significant attention and broadcast cameras often showing her cheering him on during games.

Some fans thought Kelce may have been impacted by her absence on Sunday, pointing to a now-viral clip that appeared to show him looking dejected on the sidelines. The Daily Mail noted that “Chiefs tight end cut a miserable figure on the sidelines” in the clip and fans commented on his uncharacteristic body language.

Others suggested Kelce could be frustrated with his diminishing role in the offense. He made just four catches for 30 yards in Sunday’s win over the Falcons and through the first three games has a total of eight catches for 69 yards and no touchdowns — a pace that would be among the worst statistical seasons of his career.
