This season, the Toronto Maple Leafs have had a ton of struggling players, especially in their bottom six, including Max Domi, Pontus Holmberg, and David Kampf.

Unfortunately, all three of these players have something in common, and that is the fact that none of them have logged a single goal this season.

What makes this even worse is the fact that they have also logged over 200 minutes throughout the season.

Shockingly, there are only nine players in the National Hockey League who have both 0 goals and over 200 minutes played.

That means the Leafs are responsible for one-third of the league’s players who fit this statistic.

Needless to say, there is a lot struggling going on with the team’s bottom six and something is going to have to be done.

Max Domi, Pontus Holmberg, and David Kampf are struggling

“9 forwards have played 200+ minutes this season and still don’t have a goal:

Domi
Kampf
Holmberg

Burakovsky
Schmaltz
Poehling
Podkolzin
Trenin
Barron”

There are a lot of good players in the AHL who could potentially get an opportunity that one of these players is taking up.

For instance, Fraser Minten would be the perfect guy to give an opportunity. Same can be said of Alex Steeves.

Holmberg is someone who has really struggled and particularly under Craig Berube, he has not been what fans were hoping for.

Despite the bad play from the bottom six, the Maple Leafs still have a record of 11-6-2 which is quite respectable.

They are fresh off of a win against the Edmonton Oilers, and have won five of their last six.
