Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red clothing brand has told GolfMagic the 15-time major champion is prepared to make a big change if he wins an elusive 16th major title.

Despite struggling for form and playing time in the past year, Tiger Woods is still hell-bent on adding to his already well-stocked major trophy cabinet.
The 15-time major champ is so focused on making it 16 that plans are already in place for a big change at his clothing brand, Sun Day Red.
In an exclusive interview with GolfMagic, Sun Day Red’s Senior Creative Director Cáje Moye revealed that if a 16th major title does arrive, it will be straight back to the drawing board for Sun Day Red’s logo.
For those who don’t know, the Sun Day Red logo is a Tiger with 15 stripes, one for each of Woods’ major wins.

Although adding one more stripe would seem straightforward enough, we can confirm that is not the plan.
Speaking to Moye about a potential 16th stripe on the logo, he said:
“We’ve already had that discussion, so we’ve got some things that we’ve already created. Without wanting to give too much away it would probably be a brand new logo.
“Our legal teams were like ‘don’t just add a stripe, that’s gonna screw us just do a different logo’ so we’re ready for it.”
During our time with Moye, we also discussed Sun Day Red’s new polo shirt line, which is designed to be the next step towards being the best golf polo shirt ever created.
The heritage polo shirts have been designed based on completed competition testing and feedback from Woods this past season, and Moye confirmed that the former World No.1 has been heavily involved in the design process.
Discussing working with Woods, he said:
“Tiger is very involved, he loves products. He provides feedback which he has a ton of, and his insights are second to none.
“He loves the idea of just doing better. That’s always been his mantra. He pushes us to do things in new and interesting and innovative ways and not overcomplicate it. Sometimes simple is better.
“We’ve used him as the centre of the bullseye as the muse, and everything goes in front of him and his team and we get a lot of feedback.
“He’s ultimately our product wear tester at the highest level. He’s out there putting on product playing in the most elite space in the most high pressure moments.”
Tiger Woods
While having Woods as your muse sounds like the ideal scenario for creating a high performance golf brand, Moye did confess that due to his unique physique, it does also come with its own set of hurdles.
Moye said:
“It’s the number one challenge without a doubt. You know he’s a large dude, he’s very athletic. And what I mean by that is he’s got that physique where he’s very large in the shoulders, biceps and traps, but he’s very tapered at the base.
“Quite frankly he’s built like an NFL player, so his fit is unique to him it took us a while to get it dialled in and we’re constantly evolving it.
“We do have to make custom product for him. If we put his fit into the line it would fit very few people. So basically he’s an extra large and a small all together but he is wearing literally the same shirt you can buy with the same logo.
“He very much looks at apparel as a piece of competitive equipment. He thinks if you build it right and you build it properly and you are not distracted by it, it’s an immediate advantage you have versus your opponent.”
Sun Day Red
The new line of Sun Day Red polos features 14 distinct classic-fit polos, each with the same unique design elements.
Each polo in the collection will be adorned with the Sun Day Red logo, and built to the exact specifications as the polo shirts Woods wears.
Sun Day Red’s new line of polo shirts is now available to purchase on the Sun Day Red website alongside a wide range of apparel and accessories.
