The Chicago Bulls made multiple attempts to trade their shooting guard, Zach LaVine, during the offseason but were unsuccessful.

With the new NBA preseason underway, NBA fans are speculating about LaVine’s future in the league. Many fans are still predicting which team the Bulls guard will end up on, as the trade option will be open until the deadline on February 8, 2025.

Andy Bailey from Bleacher Report recently suggested an incredible trade idea for the Bulls: bringing a dynamic All-Star duo to Chicago. He proposed a three-team deal involving the Bulls, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the New Orleans Pelicans.

“Lakers Receive Zach LaVine and Antonio Reeves. Bulls Receive Brandon Ingram, D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino, a 2029 first-round pick (from Los Angeles), and a 2031 first-round pick (from Los Angeles). Pelicans Receive Rui Hachimura, Chris Duarte, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes, and a 2031 first-round pick (from Chicago),” Via Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report.

In the last NBA season, LaVine and Russell did not make significant contributions to their respective teams. Additionally, Ingram’s contract is expiring, as he did not receive a contract extension this offseason. As a result, this trade has the potential to have a significant impact.

Bulls Guard LaVine Shares His Mindset For The 2024-25 NBA Season

During the last NBA season, LaVine only played 25 games due to a right foot injury. In February 2024, the Bulls announced that LaVine would undergo surgery as the next step in his recovery. However, he has finally recovered and is more confident about his performance. During a recent interview after Bulls preseason practice, LaVine revealed his mentality for the 2024-25 NBA season.

“Last year, I had a broken foot. The year before I played 77 games and averaged 25; it’s just getting back to what I am. I’m healthy and I know what I can do. My health is the No. 1 thing. If I stay healthy, I know what I do and what I bring to the team…It’s nothing new, but getting back to it and establishing who you are. I’m excited for that,” LaVine said.

The speculation surrounding LaVine’s future adds an extra layer of excitement to the preseason. Fans and analysts alike eagerly await any potential developments in this ongoing storyline.
