We just had a major story involving the Montreal Canadiens’ head coach, Martin St-Louis.

If you ask me, things are really starting to spiral out of control.

I understand that some people may have started to doubt Martin St-Louis, but this is going too far.

It seems like every expert wants to one-up the other, and it’s becoming ridiculous.

Martin St-Louis Will Resign by Christmas 2024, According to Jean Perron

The latest commentary indeed comes from Jean Perron.

On air with CHOI in Quebec City, he shared some rather pointed criticisms of St-Louis.

«He thinks St-Louis will resign from his position by Christmas.

He’s convinced St-Louis will tell Kent Hughes that Pascal Vincent would do a better job than him and that he’ll leave. Let’s be honest, that would be surprising.

Listening to Perron, you’d think St-Louis is the worst head coach in NHL history. It’s criticism after criticism.»

Why go that far? I don’t understand it.

But there is some good news.

Numerous sources, including Elliotte Friedman, claim that Martin St-Louis actually thrives on negative criticism and doubt like this.

The more people doubt him, the more it motivates him and pushes him to improve.

Perron is not the only one who believes that Martin St-Louis could soon resign. Toward the end of October, Jean-Charles Lajoie also shared his thoughts about seeing the Canadiens’ head coach step down.

It will be up to him to respond in the best possible way, but I still feel this is really going too far.

Yes, the team has had a disappointing start to the season, but let’s not assume we have a lineup worthy of the Florida Panthers, the Colorado Avalanche, or even the Nashville Predators, who are also having a nightmare start to the season. In their case, it’s much more concerning.
