The Grand Ole Opry has unveiled new footage of Post Malone’s heartfelt debut on the Opry’s stage in August 2024.
The “I Had Some Help” hit artist was joined by a cadre of country music stars while celebrating the release of his debut country album “F-1Trillion,” reported Holler.
In new video made available on the Opry’s YouTube account on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, Malone described how humbled he was to perform at the Grand Ole Opry by close friend and fellow collaborator Brad Paisley.
“I’m here to play some songs tonight with some really amazing folks, and I’m so terrified and beyond honored to be standing ahh right in this spot right here,” said Malone, who is seen standing on the stage about to perform in the Opry’s YouTube video.
In an additional interview recorded before his debut performance, Malone explained how he was still in awe of the opportunity to perform at the Opry — calling it one of the ultimate privileges of his career — and make music in Nashville.
“It’s scary, especially when we’ve made all our music in LA — recording in a new place and writing in a new space. But as soon as we touched down here, everybody has been so kind to me, and it’s the most amazing thing ever,” he said.
Lainey Wilson, who collaborated on the “F-1Trillion” song “Nosedive,” praises his character and kindness during the duo’s songwriting sessions. “I got the opportunity to go write with him for like 15 hours, through the night — had the time of my life,” Wilson said. “We got songs that ended up getting recorded, and I get to be a part of one of his songs that’s on his record.”
In addition to Wilson, Malone’s album includes a list of country music’s who’s who collaborators, including Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Hank Williams Jr., ERNEST, Dolly Parton, Sierra Ferrell, and others.
