Footage of Justin Timberlake’s arrest won’t be released following court deal

The body cam footage of Justin Timberlake’s arrest earlier this year will be kept from the public, it was reported recently. The singer was arrested in June 2024 for driving while impaired, but the video of his traffic stop will remain sealed due to an agreement between Timberlake’s legal team and the prosecutors.

TMZ had requested the footage. However, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office replied that video would not be released because both parties agreed to retain it for privacy purposes. This means only the authority and Timberlake’s representative can view the footage.

Timberlake pleaded to driving while his ability was impaired, the least serious of the three charges against him. In addition to serving two years in jail, the singing star must also conduct 25 hours of community service and produce a public service announcement opposing drinking and driving.

On the day of trial, Timberlake confessed that he made an error with ‘heavy gravity’. He was also willing to use the experience for informing others of the dangers associated with drinking and driving. He later expressed disappointment at his actions and assured he would do everything possible to prevent others from repeating the same mistake.

Justin Timberlake Body Cam Footage Remains Sealed

The reports note that Timberlake was spotted at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, where he had been out with friends before police could arrest him for running a stop sign and swerving while driving. Among the most colorful parts of the confrontation is when apparently, an arresting officer did not recognize Timberlake, and Timberlake spoke of concern that the arrest might have on his tour.

While many are curious to see the footage, seems like it will remain sealed unless the court comes and cancels the order given.
