Lance Bass has revealed he once overheard Diddy urge Justin Timberlake to ‘drop’ NSYNC and ‘go solo’ during their band’s final tour.
The former boy bander, 45, made the revelation during Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, adding he ‘never liked’ the now-disgraced mogul after he heard the remarks.
Bass recalled how Diddy, 54, opened for NSYNC during their Celebrity Tour in 2002, where he overheard the rapper encourage Timberlake to ‘drop these effers.’
The anecdote came up after host Andy Cohen, 56, brought up Diddy – who was arrested last week and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting for prostitution – and asked Bass for his thoughts on the controversy and if he had ever been to one of the disgraced mogul’s parties.
‘No, I never had time to go to a Diddy party,’ Lance began. ‘I forgot he had opened up our last tour until all this kind of came about. But, yeah, it’s kinda horrible.’

‘I never kind of liked him because, I’ll say this, I overheard him talking to Justin being like, “You need to drop these effers. You need to go solo. You need to drop these,”‘ he told Cohen.
‘I was like, “I don’t like you anymore, Diddy.” I’m like, “At my own show? What the hell!”‘ Lance said. ‘So I never liked him.’
Timberlake did ultimately embark on his own successful music career and while the band did go their separate ways, they reunited in March for their first performance together in over a decade.
Asked about the prospect of an NSYNC reunion by a fan on WWHL, Lance said: ‘I can finally say we’re in talks now… With the Trolls and the Deadpool movie, it’s really a fever pitch right now.
‘We’d be stupid not to do something. Just hold your breath just a little longer.
‘It’s gonna take a little time, but I think something’s coming,’ he added.
Meanwhile, Combs, 54, was arrested in New York City on Monday, September 16 in and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting for prostitution.
His arrest comes as he faces seven sexual assault lawsuits, which were filed against him in the past year.

He was denied a $50 million bail for the second time and remains in federal custody in jail in Brooklyn.
Combs is accused in an indictment of using his ‘power and prestige’ to induce female victims and male sex workers into drugged-up, elaborately produced sexual performances dubbed ‘Freak Offs’ that he arranged, participated in and often recorded on video.
The events would sometimes last days, and Combs and victims would often receive IV fluids to recover, the indictment said, according to AP.

The indictment alleges Combs coerced and abused women for years with the help of a network of associates and employees.
He allegedly used blackmail and violent acts including kidnapping, arson and physical beatings to keep victims from speaking out.
