Taunting Patrick Mahomes is never a good idea, but it worked out for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The game of the year belonged to Josh Allen. While Patrick Mahomes is the face of the NFL and a reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champion, the Buffalo Bills quarterback put his team on his back and willed out a crucial victory over their most hated rivals.

The Chiefs had a chance to make a statement when they faced a fourth down and short to get a first down. However, not a single person in the building thought they would go for it.

Patrick Mahomes rushed up to the line and pretended like he was going to hike the ball before he stood up and walked off.

In the midst of him going to the sidelines, cameras caught Buffalo Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas openly taunting Mahomes as he ran back to his side.

Normally, that spells doom for opposing teams, but Josh Allen made sure they would win on this day.

On a fourth-and-2 with a little over two minutes to play, the Bills held a 23-21 lead and had a chance to go up more with a 44-yard field goal attempt by Tyler Bass.

The Bills did not want the ball back in Parick Mahomes’s hands with the chance to win the game, so coach Sean McDermott put the ball in Allen’s hands and allowed him to win the game.

Not only did Allen get the first down, but he also scored to put the Bills up 30-21 and seal the game. He finished with 260 yards passing and a touchdown while rushing for 55 yards and a score.

Patrick Mahomes finished 23 of 33 for 196 yards and three touchdowns but also had two interceptions.

Patrick Mahomes On Pace To Break A Dubious Record

Sunday was an afternoon of struggle for Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes – who completed 23-of-33 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns.

However, he also had two interceptions.

He now has a share of the lead for the most picks in the league this season with 11. He has three games with more than one interception, and there have only been two games where he did not throw a single one.

If he continues at this pace, Mahomes will break his season record of 14 interceptions, which he set just last season.
