Social media teed off on the NFL refs and accused them of “rigging” Sunday’s game between the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings in London following a head-scratching game-changing call.

The Vikings narrowly held on for a tight 23-17 win over old friend Aaron Rodgers and his Jets on Sunday. The defense led the way with three interceptions (including a pick-six from Andrew Van Ginkel) and three sacks off the four-time MVP, though Kevin O’Connell’s squad also benefitted from a brutal game-changing call in the fourth quarter.

During the fourth quarter, Jets cornerback DJ Reed was flagged for defensive pass interference on a play where he barely made contact with Vikings star wideout Justin Jefferson. If you look closely, JJ clearly got away with offensive PI, which of course went uncalled:

Needless to say, fans on social media are convinced that the NFL refs rigged the game for the 5-0 Vikings:

NFL Refs Threw A Ton Of Laundry In Jets-Vikings Game

Sunday’s game in London was a prime example of the NFL refs taking over the game. The Jets were flagged eight times for 76 yards, and the Vikings were called for 11 penalties worth 80 yards.
