We have an important change to share with you regarding the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins.
As you probably know, the “official” game time listed on the NHL website is 3:00 PM.
However, if you turn on your TV exactly at 3:00 PM, be aware that you’ll be waiting a while before the official puck drop.
A joint statement from the NHL and the Montreal Canadiens

The centennial game celebrations for the Bruins will delay the puck drop to 4:15 PM!
“BOSTON – The Canadiens and Bruins first faced off on Dec. 8, 1924. Nearly a century later-almost to the day-the two historic rivals will meet again in the Bruins’ Centennial Game at TD Garden on Sunday.
The game will now take place at 4:15 PM instead of 3:00 PM which is quite a long delay if you ask me.
This is a matchup between the 31st team in the NHL standings (Montreal) and the 18th-ranked team.
The Canadiens have a record of 8 wins, 12 losses, and 3 overtime losses.
Meanwhile, the Bruins have a record of 11 wins, 11 losses, and 3 overtime losses, following a recent rough patch.
Notably, they recently fired their head coach Jim Montgomery (who didn’t remain unemployed for long, by the way).
In short, see you at 4:15 PM today, live from Boston!
