Country music fans have kept a close eye on Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin amid rumors. She gave her husband the ultimate tribute.

“Kerosene” Singer Opens Up About Struggles As A Female Country Singer

Miranda Lambert’s career in country music began over two decades ago. She opened up to Texas Monthly about the “long road” to success before she gained mainstream attention on Nashville Star in 2003.

The “Gunpowder & Lead” singer reflected on playing any gig she could get, including dive bars and rodeos. But it wasn’t always easy to get even the smallest of gigs because “girls don’t draw” crowds. In fact, she confessed that her dad sometimes paid promoters 50 bucks to let her perform.

The singer went back to her roots for her new album, Postcards from Texas. It’s her first album with her new record label. She left RCA Nashville last year and signed with Republic Records.

Going back to her roots caused Miranda Lambert to look back at how her career started and how easily male singers have it compared to female singers.

“There’s been some highs, and then there’s been some knock-down, drag-out battles that I didn’t win, that my songs just couldn’t win. Certainly, for male artists, it’s just a different path. I’ll watch it, and sometimes I’m like, ‘Damn, that happened quick.’’”

But don’t get it wrong – Miranda Lambert wasn’t complaining. “It’s not a bad thing or a good thing. It just is what it is.”

Miranda Lambert Gives Husband Steamy Tribute

Miranda Lambert takes inspiration from her real life to write some of the biggest hits in country music today. Her whirlwind romance with former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin is a great source of inspiration.

The couple reportedly hit a bumpy patch earlier this year when he was caught dancing a little too close to another woman. Miranda Lambert allegedly also found her husband’s burner phone.

But the couple weathered the storm and put on a happy face in public. Miranda Lambert took to her Instagram with a sweet and a bit steamy tribute on her husband’s birthday.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my best friend, travel buddy, home cookin, pasta makin, animal lovin, down for anything , warmest, kindest, city gone country boy! Brendan you are a light in every room you walk in. I’m so lucky to see that smile of yours everyday forever. Thanks for being you.”

The singer added a flirty, “33 looks so good on you!” to end the birthday post.
