Almost nobody knows John Daly as a two-time major champion or 5 time PGA Tour winner on the tour.

Instead, people know the golfer for his infamous drinking habits. For someone who has been drinking since the age of eight, Daly has a lot of stories to tell. One of them goes back to 2023 when he shocked Tiger Woods, which happened last year in December when John Daly was on Tucker Carlson’s YouTube channel with American musician Kid Rock. In a one-hour-long video, they discussed a lot of things including Daly’s drunk stories.

Daly also shared another story from Battle the Bridges, which is a lighted golf tournament. Daly paired up with Phil Mickelson to play against Tiger Woods and Hank Keeney. While talking about it, the golfer further added, “It’s about a 400 drive back to the clubhouse. And the cart, I had a six-pack of Miller Light back then, ready to go. TW want to, you want to be I drive. Drank all six of them. Gave him the bag that they were in. I said, here, you don’t throw those away. “ Yes, he did drink all the six packs of beers, witnessing that even Woods was surprised, revealing about it Daly said “He goes, you drink all those. I said, Well, I was thirsty.”

Because of his drinking habits, the community often calls John Daly the ‘Bad Boy’ of the PGA Tour. Not only that, the senior golfer sometimes gets bashed by the community with comments like “Old dudes talking about how much they can drink as a brag.” Despite that, he once revealed “I don’t want to quit drinking. I just don’t want to get drunk,” while talking about his addiction. Surprisingly he can drink up to 40 packs, without feeling anything. It might seem like only golf fans and the PGA Tour have witnessed Daly’s drinking habits, but that’s not the case.

John Daly once got drunk at a basketball match

It happened back in October 2023 when an old clip of John Daly went viral. The golfer was enjoying the basketball match between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Cincinnati Bearcats. During this time, he appeared as a guest on SEC Nation. Daly played some beer pong and even accepted a few beers from the onlookers beforehand. Even though he said “I got some good s*** right here,” when a random fan offered him a beer he still accepted it.

And guess what happened next? Yes, the 58-year-old got drunk. Not only that, he even accepted it on live TV while talking with Marty and McGee and said  “I am not going to lie. I’m drunk.” Surprisingly, when the video went viral some praised John Daly’s savageness for accepting it on live TV meanwhile some expressed their anger towards the golfer. Despite that, he continues to drink and says “I just drink to relax”.
