The Philadelphia 76ers are facing one of the biggest challenges this season. They have been on a losing streak this season, with just 2 wins in their first 10 games. Having placed at the 14th position in the East, the 76ers are facing all sorts of challenges despite their star-studded line-up. Now, continuing with their somber trend, the 76ers are facing the wrath of well-known personalities like Kendrick Perkins and Shams Charania.

In a recent statement, the 76ers management stated that Paul George and Joel Embiid will be missing their Wednesday game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Interestingly, there have been some contradictory statements coming from the athlete and the team management. For example, Embiid mentioned wanting to play in the second of a back-to-back despite being listed as injured.

The 76ers suffered a heavy defeat as they succumbed to a 111-99 disappointment. Now, with Embiid missing out on nine games this season, NBA analysts Kendrick Perkins and Shams Charania have urged the NBA to launch yet another investigation. Speaking to ESPN’s NBA Today, Perkins stated, “I think the league should run another investigation…That’s what I think… What’s going on?”

Now, this is not the first time the 76ers have come under fire. The authorities had to pay a fine worth $100,000 for statements made publicly about the injury status of Embiid. Speaking about his injury, the 30-year-old said, “I mean, I want to [play]. That’s up to (the training staff)… I said I would never play back-to-backs, but I’m a troll, so I’m sure, at some point, I’ll play. I feel good right now. We’re gonna see, but it’s up to them.” Now, things are really looking a bit confusing here. As for Kendrick Perkins, this was not the only shot he fired at the 76ers in recent times.

Kendrick Perkins Lashes Out At 76ers For Their Poor Run

The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired the services of some big names this season. With the likes of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey on their side, fans expected the 76ers to do much better than they are doing at the moment. Commenting on their present state, Kendrick Perkins did not seem too pleased about the entire incident.

Speaking to ESPN’s first take, Perkins stated, “If they don’t make it to the Conference Finals – at least this season, and that’s the bare minimum – they would be considered one of the biggest failures in NBA history.” Thus, with things not going the positive way, it now remains to be seen how the 76ers will be able to stem their losing streak in the future.
