Calls Mount Against Jake Paul as Boxing World Rally for Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber isn’t a name you often associate with boxing, but every now and then, the pop star finds his way into the sport’s section of the headlines. This time, a boxing journalist has spotlighted Bieber’s brief venture into the world of boxing. Meanwhile, fans seem to be loving it, even suggesting that Bieber should replace Jake Paul in the sport.
‘The Problem Child’ is coming off his unanimous decision win over 58-year-old Mike Tyson last month, a fight marred with controversy theories and an overall aura of hatred among fans. Paul is often criticized for his choice of opponents, especially because of either their age or background in the sport—the journalist’s post with Bieber just brought out anger among fans.
Journalist declares Justin Bieber the best celebrity boxer
Earlier today, Elie Seckbach of ES News hopped on Instagram to share an image of himself alongside Justin Bieber. He captioned the post, “Out of all the singers and entertainers I’ve seen try boxing [Justin Bieber] was by far the best of them 700 including sparring pros like [Brandon Rios] and amateur fighters at Tengoose Boxing Gym.”

There are several clips, going as far back as 2014, available online of Bieber training at the Tengoose Boxing Gym—there’s even one where he can be seen training with legendary Floyd Mayweather. Back in August last year, Bieber’s snap with middleweight boxer Hamzah Sheeraz started rumors the singer might be planning a trip to the ring.
However, nothing of that sort happened—it appears that the singer keeps his ring activity confined to the gym. Regardless, when fans discovered Seckbach’s post on Instagram today, Jake Paul became the unwitting victim of the public’s mockery.
Jake Paul was branded inferior to Bieber
The Canadian native has a vast loyal fan following online, so it didn’t take long for people to clamor behind the post. One user was surprised to learn that Bieber boxed. “Oh, wow. I didn’t know ‘The Biebs’ was lacing them up, nice,” the user commented. However, since the 30-year-old has been training for quite some time, it’s clear he has some interest in the sport, even though he might not want to enter a ring.
Even the next user seems to have learned of Bieber’s interest in boxing through the post from the journalist. “Interesting… Would neva know,” the user commented. Notably, Justin Bieber showed his support for Logan Paul during his fight against KSI, who has since become Paul’s business partner. This led KSI to boldly claim that he would destroy the singer if they ever faced off in the ring. However, no fight between the two ever materialized.
Meanwhile, the next user roped in rapper Blueface into the conversation. “[Blueface] knocking his head off fasho,” the user commented. The rapper has had a couple of boxing matches against Ed Matthews and Kane Trujillo, both of which he won.
Another user claimed they would much prefer Justin Bieber start boxing than Jake Paul. “I’d rather him than Jake Paul box,” the user wrote. However, Bieber doesn’t need to step into the ring, as he has already amassed millions from his successful music career. On the other hand, Paul continues to leverage boxing as one of his many income streams.
Someone else claimed Bieber must be a far better boxer than Jake Paul. “Better than Jake Paul,” the user wrote. But since the singer hasn’t really boxed anyone in the ring, that might be a far-fetched dream.
That said, it appears the boxing world was delighted to see the beloved singer be part of a sport, which has its roots deep in the States. However, the question is, did you know Justin Bieber can box? Do you think he is better than Jake Paul?
