The Princess of Wales has reached out with a heartfelt message to those touched by the “devastation of baby loss”.
In a personal post on Kensington Palace’s social media channels, Kate expressed her “love, strength and hope” in observance of Baby Loss Awareness Week this Tuesday.
Gradually resuming public engagements after completing her chemotherapy, the princess highlighted the significance of the annual event, stating: “Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss.”
Her full message was: “Sending love, strength and hope to anyone affected. #WaveofLight.” Signed with her initial “C”, the post featured a photo of the Plum & Ashby Wave of Light candle, part of the global Wave of Light that concludes the week, observed from October 9-15.

Plum & Ashby, a luxury home, bath and body brand, has been creating the official campaign candle for Tommy’s, the leading UK pregnancy research charity, since 2020, donating all profits to the cause.
Kensington Palace habitually recognises the week on its social media platforms and shares resources for support services. Last Thursday marked the princess’s first official appearance alongside the Prince of Wales since her cancer treatment concluded over the summer.
Princess Kate delivered warm embraces and a sincere “thank you” to the emergency responders who attended the tragic Southport stabbings, following her meeting with the children’s grieving families in Merseyside.
The visit was initially intended as a solo engagement for Prince William; however, Kate chose to accompany her husband to express solidarity with the community.

The Princess is also planning to attend the annual Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph next month to pay tribute to the nation’s fallen servicemen and women, a significant event for the Royal family.
In addition, she has been in discussions with aides about holding her yearly Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey come December.
Earlier this month, Kate was captured in a photograph sharing an embrace with Liz Hatton, 16, an aspiring photographer battling a rare cancer, after the young girl was invited to Windsor Castle by Prince William to photograph an investiture ceremony he was leading.

Last month, the future Queen candidly shared her aspirations for the future and reflected on the impact of this year on her family.
On September 9, she revealed the completion of her chemotherapy treatment in an emotional video, discussing her journey while showing clips of the Wales family enjoying outdoor moments together.
“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long,” Kate expressed in the video.
The princess expressed her eagerness to return to work, stating she was “looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months”. However, she emphasised that her primary focus remained on “doing what I can to stay cancer free”.
